My husband and I were looking for our first home and were considering trying on our own, now that it is easy to access websites with listings and viewings. In one of the first open houses that we went to, we met Matthew, we spoke briefly and he took notes of our needs and budget. In the following weeks we exchanged a couple of e-mails and decided to ask him to assist us in our journey of finding a new home. We are so glad we did!! My home was in the market for about 4 months with hardly any showings. Matthew and I had a few phone and face to face meetings and I had agreed for him to take over my listing. When we got home from our vacation this year we were told that our Landlord was putting the house on the market 10 hours after returning from our month long vacation. With a child and a cousin who is developmentally challenged I panicked. My husband suggested we call Matthew Fernandes as he had been highly recommended. Matthew come to our rescue by coming to our house within hours of us calling him and explaining our difficult situation. He assured us that everything would be alright. We had nothing in place and were caught totally off guard with the landlords surprise decision on selling the house we have been renting for 12 years, he gave us 60 days notice to move. Matthew was super attentive to the difficult situation he had on hand, showing us numerous properties on a daily basis and putting up with my crazy and nervous calls every day. Bidding started at 5pm and after going back and forth for a few hours in a bidding war with a couple of other bidders Matthew gave us the great news that we had WON the bidding. At almost 10pm my husband and I were jumping for joy that we had successfully bought our house.
